ZEBRA 2
On this site you can find several sound-demos as mp3-files demonstrating the power and versatility
of Zebra 2, the modular synthesizer plugin made by Urs Heckmann.
The final release will include more than 300 presets from tasmodia.com.
All of those are making a good use of the XY-fields, a powerful feature that greatly enhances
the ease of use and enables the user to change the most important parameters
of each preset in no time to alter the sound to his personal needs.

All demos on this site are "Zebra 2 only", no other plugins were used, neither synths nor effects.
There was no mixdown and no mastering of the files. Some sounds have been slightly normalized
to a certain level at the end. So all you here is the pure sound of Zebra 2.
On most of the demos you can hear some parameter-automation to demonstrate the sonic versatility
of the presets. The only parameters that have been automated were in fact the XY-fields.
The demos are sorted by sound-category.
To select a file, click on the corresponding preset-name-button.
To download any of these files, right-click on the preset-name-button and choose "save link as".
multi-preset-demos
These are some demos that all use multiple instances of Zebra 2.
The sounds were mixed together using Cubase.

Emulations of different strings in a short performance.

A dance track demonstrating the "four to the floor" side of Zebra 2.
Cubase was used to mix the sounds together and to automate volume,
panning and the XY-fields of the presets.
No additional plugins were used and no mastering was done. So what you hear is the raw Zebra 2.

Zebra out in the wilderness.
Some crickets are chirping in the grass. Suddenly it starts to rain, the winds are blowing,
a thunderstorm is coming. Finally, after quite some time, the storm is weakening,
toads are coming out of the water and the crickets are back in the meadow.
Notice how the sound of the rain slightly changes from time to time
through automation of the XY-fields on the perfromance page of Zebra 2.

Each demo is just a single preset taken from the factory-library of Zebra 2.
Some
sounds were automated. The only automated parameters are the XY-fields
on the performance page of Zebra 2. The demos are sorted by
